Australian jarrah hardwood, corten steel, aluminium, reclaimed power‑line insulators. Approx. 210 × 90 × 50 cm, base 60 × 60 cm
Artist: Josef Kieninger
“Helios – Power of the Sun” is an abstract outdoor sculpture inspired by the ancient sun god and the immense energy radiating from the sun.
A vertical core of Australian jarrah hardwood rises from a corten‑steel base, combined with two original power‑line insulators. The warm, dense wood and industrial components symbolise stored energy and the flow of power. Aluminium inserts and a stylised corten‑steel sun at the top emphasise the radiating force and presence of sunlight.
By balancing natural and industrial materials, the sculpture forms a totem‑like figure that expresses both the strength and life‑giving power of the sun.
