Kieninger Gallery

Kieninger Gallery is dedicated to the presentation of woodblock printmaking and contemporary sculpture. The gallery brings together traditional techniques and contemporary expression, emphasising the physical process of making – carving, printing, assembling, and shaping materials by hand.

The woodcut prints are created using hand-carved wooden blocks and printed in limited editions, embracing the subtle variations that make each print unique. The sculptural works explore form, texture, and balance, often incorporating natural of found materials.

While based in New Zealand, Kieninger Gallery operates as an online gallery, making its artworks accessible to collectors, curators, and art lovers worldwide.

Josef Kieninger Gallery was born in 2007 as ‘Blueberry Art’ and has organically grown into what it is today.
